While on patrol, I decided to check the rear of a problem shopping center. When I rounded the corner I observed a vehicle and a subject in the vehicle acting suspicious. Upon investigation and running the tag, I learned the vehicle and the driver were wanted in a homicide that occurred a few days prior. While attempting to take the subject into custody he did not obey commands, and fled on foot. A foot pursuit pursued, and a perimeter established. The suspect was apprehended during the foot chase, while attempting to hide in the woods. The subject was returned to jail to face trial. I wore an Elbeco uniform shirt that day which stood up to the test and was not damaged.
