While I was working at a construction site, a person driving an SUV crashed into numerous barricades and barrels and then kept on driving. The driver eventually stopped in the left lane against a concrete divider. As I pulled up behind him he started to drive away at about 5-10 mph. The driver refused to stop. I pulled along the right side of him and saw that he was unresponsive in my attempts to get his attention. We were approaching an intersection and he was still driving and turning his car into the barrier. I knew if I didn't do something, he would drive right into the oncoming traffic. I pulled my trooper car in front of his SUV so that he would hit me instead of driving into the opposing traffic. Fortunately for me and everyone else, he stopped just prior to hitting me. It turns out that he was in a state of diabetic shock.
